Sullivan isn’t the reason jarry couldn’t make a save. Pittsburgh was far and away the better team this playoffs. Jarry lost them the series, not Sullivan

And there it is, the take that is the most dangerous one. You actually think we were the better team? I know you looked at shot totals and came to that conclusion right? Look Jarry sucks and needs to go there is zero debate on that issue. However, can you point to a single adjustment Sully made in that series? Did he try to move Tanev up to Sid’s line to save him some beatings? Or did he stubbornly out the same line with Rust and Jake out there to get physically dominated by the Cizikas line? He is not a coach that can adjust. He has one way of lining up his team and when it worked we won. Now it doesn’t work anymore. Bylsma was the same way. I remember the same excuses being made to defend him at the end too

lmao the only person who mentioned shot totals..... was you. Did you forget how dominate the forechecking was? How pittsburgh was suffocating them and getting great chances, but Sorokin constantly bailed them out? Why move Tanev to the top line when his line was great and creating turnovers? Makes no sense. And no, Jarry does not need to go. Seems like youre the person who wants Fleury back, but was also calling for his head when he struggled in the playoffs

Here’s a question for Pittsburg fans could a deal be made with Edmonton involving Jarry for kosk? Kosk only has one year remaining and I personally think he’s a quality goalie as long as he’s not sitting on the bench for long stretches needs to be in a better rotation than seen this year. He’s prone to letting in a early goal but generally been very good overall shutting it down afterwards I suspect more frequent starts would help limit that fault of his.

I don’t want another project. I want veteran goalies who are proven like I signed above. What about that Jake deal? That solved your LW problem

The people calling for his head were the same ones defending Bylsma. Now we see it again, Sully is great but he was let down by goaltending... nonsense. The guy doesn’t make adjustments. And the forecheck? Huh? The forechecking was on the other side of the ice when they absolutely blitzed our D in our own third of the ice. We had a lot of shots on net and Sorokin saw the vast majority of them because almost none of our forwards like to go to the front of the net

I too wish he would have made some adjustments to the forward lines. There wasn't much to be done defensively, so I give him some lee-way there and people saying Legace should have been put in net are out of their minds. Maybe you make a goalie change after the 4th goal game 6, but still the damage was done at that point. Sully needed to get Jake and Rust away from the Pelech/Pulock pairing but he was too hardheaded to take Jake off of Sid's wing and Jake drowned the entire series as a result. Easily his worst showing of his career.

I think it makes sense to bring Sullivan back for another year. This is a team that had no consistency on the blueline all year, a huge question mark in net, and basically an entire new cast of forwards trying to mesh together with constant injuries that finished at the top of the toughest division in the league and I would agree with hockeyfanatic outplayed a very good Isles team in most ways in the first round. Their young goalie stole the show and our young goalie **** the bed. It was optimistic to rely on an unproven young netminder to anchor the last remaining open window of the Crosby/Malkin era but at the same time we just got done watching Murray do it, and so maybe that's what fueled it. Either way this offseason has to be about solidifying the net, having a better option than Legace or DeSmith to turn to in the playoffs if a situation like this happens in the future.

I think it’s reasonable to some extent I don’t see Holland retaining on kassian just because of term. Overall I’m ok with the framework to it.

this ain't it. You can keep try 3,4,5, and every other horribly lopsided never going to happen attempt off the internet. It's killing the planet.

All those trades are terrible for Pens. I would rather have Jarry then the goalies you signed or swap goalies with Edmonton. The team you built is worse then last years it wouldn't matter who coached them they would loose..

Yes, let's trade away the teams best winger for an overpaid bum, a depth forward, a defenseman (position that Pens don't need more of) and a 1st in a bad draft.

You’d rather have one unproven young goalie than two proven veterans and Desmith as a 3rd option?
