This team is so bad, they should have a fighting chance for 1OA pick in 2022

Ah yes. Edmonton really wants to give away their top two prospects and a first for UFA defenseman and swap of below average goalies. Not even a trade I would consider with a Jones extension as the Oilers will need ELC contracts to keep the core together

laugh laugh Colorado easily declines, You're not getting Byram for Laine and Merzlikins. And fat chance of Werenski signing long term in LA. He's close to his parents and family he still lives in his family home in Grosse Point, Michigan. So he's not signing long term in high taxed California. By all accounts he's probably heading home to Detroit per Kyper.

That’s some straight up crack smoking on the COL trade. Byram is UNTOUCHABLE, would deal him for Laine and Merzlikins by himself much less adding Burakovsky and not one but 2 1st rd picks AND making them in the 22 and 23 drafts. I’ve seen some ridiculous trades on here (not counting the trolling ones) but this one is up there. This is bad on so many levels, I’m going to rail against it some more. Not only is it severely weighted in CBJ favor it increases COL cap hit extensively next year. I mean it’s all fun and games but when a trade makes the trade partner worse talent wise, creates more issues and that team is a cup contender you can pretty much guarantee the other team is going to laugh and hang up.

Kyper actually said not to take that comment of his seriously; that it was an off-the cuff hypothetical.

Oh, and as for the AGM... 1) to hell with tanking and 2) getting deals that nice is unlikely.
