Im not even a Ducks fan and I can tell you they wouldn't. Ducks arn't in a competing window right now and Marner(or Eichel for that matter) doesn't change that. Zegras and Drysdale are their foundational blocks for the next window and they arn't going to be moved to make them a better team now.

Wow this is bad. They don't trade that for Eichel. Definitely not for an even more overpaid winger.

No way

A team isn't going to sell their future for an overpaid winger

Take out either Drysdale or Zegras and it’s still a hell no

The Ducks would be stupid to say yes.

That being said, Marner will not be traded.

I’ve said this multiple times.

Leafs fans are officially the most dramatic, overreacting, idiotic fanbase in the entire NHL. This isn’t because of your post, but all of them in general.

Disagree, I do not care. Tear me apart, still do not care.
It’s true, Leafs fans suck.

Have a nice day smile

Ducks aren't moving Zegras or Drysdale for Eichel, let alone for an overpaid Mitch Marner.

What an overpay by the Ducks. They would rather much have Drysdale and Zegras. I can't even see them trading one of them for Marner

This is actually funny because your the one being dramatic. If they lose tomorrow night Marner 100% has to be traded.

I disagree. What's the market for a winger that is making almost 11 million and can't perform in the playoffs? It's almost impossible to find a team that can take Marners contract and be willing to give up big assets for Marner

Absolutely not. We're trying to build a team here, not showcase individual talents.

Connor McDavid is the best hockey player in the world, no dispute. Matthews and Tavares are the next-best one-two punch to McDavid and Draisaitl. Alex Ovechkin is the best pure goal scorer on skates. Other than one fluke, top-heavy teams don't win Stanley Cups. (I think it can be reasonably argued that Tampa Bay is still a contender without their number-one-overall-pick Steven Stamkos -- they've had enough experience without him.)

We will trade futures for superstars, but we won't trade multiple potential future superstars for individual players.

I don't think you'd get that kind of deal from our competitors up the freeway, and they have more, and more valuable, future assets than the Ducks do.

I still think they’ll shake up their core if they lose this year. Probably Nylander traded for Pulock or a trade like that. Maybe flip Rielly and/or sign Hoffman

I definitely expect moves to happen if they lose, no doubt.

But the amount of Marner hate, alone, that I’ve seen is kind of crazy. He’s been great for 5 years, then hits a slump at a bad time and gets absolutely attacked.

There’s many issues in the past two games not involving Marner.
But obviously he does need to be better.

You do realize teams can send cap back right? The amount of people that fail to realize this is astonishing.

Alright then, give me a good example of a team that can afford Marner (with cap going back) and would be interested in him

Too much!
I don’t think Marner gets two A+ prospects and top-4 pick from any team.
Maybe one of those with Rakell and another piece or two.

Just because you hate the Leafs doesn’t mean their players can’t be traded.
