No. Yzerman isn't taking himself out of the Shane Wright Derby.

If Buffalo was willing to move Jack Quinn, I'd probably consider this. I really don't want to move Branny, but Ottawa could use a high end RW prospect to round things out.,

I like trying to slip Parise in the MN trade. He'd be a bigger cap hit than Eichel is going to MN. Then you didn't even sign Fiala?

laugh laugh If Reinhart wants out of Buffalo he sure as hell isn't going to be happy in Detroit. Not dealing Zadina and a possible top 3 pick for a guy who just stated that he doesn't want to play for a rebuilding franchise. Zadina would only be moved as part of a bigger package for Eichel not for Reinhart and Mittelstadt.

Risto isn’t worth that much. And even if he is Dallas doesn’t want or need him.

I don’t hate that Ottawa trade.

Having someone ready to replace Watson after next season, and then move up and replace Dadonov when his contract expires, would be a good thing.

I dont think eichel will be "healthy" by the 21 draft. Which is fine for me, that draft class scares me, and since nobody seems to be the least bit concerned about trading a fistfull of 21 firsts, im assuming everybody else agrees. Also, eichel had his moment to take a shot at the team for not letting him have surgery, and the third party physician agreed with the sabres assesment. There is NO way hes coming back from his prescribed physical therapy treatment and saying "whelp, i feel fine, i guess i was wrong, i cant wait for training camp". This is going to drag on.

Don’t love giving up Brannstrom but the 3rd probably makes up for the fact that Quinn is still a couple years away. Love Brannstrom but I watched way too many 67’s games the last two years to not be exited about this one. Right winger and from the Ottawa at would probably have Dorion accepting this.
