    I don't know the rules but can you actually retain on a contract to the point it is below league minimum?

    Sending Lehner to buffalo could be a life threatening trade for him, with the way his mental health was before in buffalo I wouldn't want to maybe bring him back into this environment.

    He was bad because he was suffering from major Alcoholism while playing for the sabres. Broke out after he moved out and was dry.

    As far as I know so long as you don’t exceed 50% of their salary you can do it.

    As a Sabres fan, I make that trade.

    I would prefer Stephenson over Glass, if possible.

    Before the trade I am working out a deal to send Lehner to Pittsburgh for Jarry+. Lehner doesn't have to go through a moment of being a Sabre again. Jarry would be a decent 1B to a re-signed Ullmark.
