I 100% agree with you, but this is going solely off best player. imo, Puljujarvi is in this instance. If I factored in the teams though, Bean or Fabbro would likely be the ideal pick for Montreal.

It was very close, but I only had McAvoy on top due to his amazing offensive awareness for a d-man and his ability to just do it all. Chychrun has some of those traits too, but just too a lower degree of McAvoy imo.
