I personally think Toronto needs to add more to get Eichel.

I mean Marner is making more as a winger and I think Eichel is probably the better player, probably doesn’t take much but Toronto probably needs to sweeten it a bit but who knows it is Buffalo

They definitely do! Marner isn’t a bad piece, but you can’t get Eichel without good prospects. I personally don’t think Toronto has the assets to get Eichel, but you never know.

I suggested that Marner and a 1st would be close to Eichel. Whether you lean one way or another that's close. My suggestion personally was Eichel and Risto at 50% for Marner, Holl, Kallgren and their 2022 1st. Don't know if it would ever happen as trades of superstars are rare let alone between division rivals but it's interesting!

I have always thought that Rasmus Sandin and Mitchell Marner would be way better. Of course they will not get rid of Matthews, and they may get rid of Tavares but I doubt it. I compare it to my other Jack Eichel trade.

Winnipeg Jets

Jack Eichel

Buffalo Sabres

Mason Appleton (RFA rights), Pierre-Luc Dubois, 2022 first, Ville Heinola

Marner would equal out Appleton, Dubois, 2022 first, and Sandin and Heinola are pretty much equal in my opinion.
