I think a guy like Brayden Schenn would be a perfect fit in OTT. They can afford the cap hit and have the assets to acquire him. Just a matter of if STL would be willing to move him to retool a bit. They could even package him with Vince Dunn since OTT needs another LD.

I like the Schenn& Dunn combo idea , though I would expect a pretty steep asking price

Henrique has had some good chemistry with Brown at the world's , a bit overpriced IMO , depends on the return.
Cirelli is a player who would really fit in but I am betting Brisebois has no appetite to trade him. Gourde is another option , I like his greasy game. The Senators need some sand paper & the Lightning need cap space.
There is a player on the NYI named Pageau that would look great in Sens uniform , wish he never left but they did get nice haul for him.

Ottawa really doesn't need another LD. Ottawa was great post deadline with a left side of Chabot-Brannstrom-Mete, and they have Sanderson coming at the end of the year.

Also I like Schenn, but that contract is totally unmanageable. It goes til he's like 37. Does not make sense long term for Ottawa.

Supposedly it's TOR or retirement for Spezz. I don't think he fits anyway. Still a good player, but no way is he a 2nd line C for Ottawa.

Dunn is a far superior all around D-man than Brannstrom or Mete. I think Brannstrom has some potential but go ahead and start the season with two 5'9" LD men and see how long that experiment lasts in an 82 game season. They would be getting hammered every game by opposing teams dumping the puck in on them.

Im down to let that experiment run a full year. If it tanks us, great for Wright/Lambert
