Description
Okay here's my thoughts on the CBJ and their potential moves. I'm tired of seeing some of the trades on here so I figured I'd give it a go. Remember, Jarmo doesn't lost trades almost ever.

1: Korpi will be traded, Elvis actually wants to be in Columbus. Korpi will probably go to Edmonton. Koskinen won't be coming back as CBJ already have a capable backup and Elvis plays better knowing he's the full time starter
2: Jones will go to a different conference and to a big market team (Chicago in this case) that will have a good chance at resigning him. He's a top RD in the league and should give the CBJ a solid return back.
3: Laine and Danault may get more from Columbus. They have the cap space to offer more
4: I can see them also bringing back a terrible contract for draft picks at this point.

Chicago would be so dumb to give up that much value for a negative impact player in Seth Jones.

Koskinen had better numbers than Korpisalo this year. Why would they run them as a tandem?

smith + korpisalo. can be decent given that with an add or 2,the oilers will be a solid team infront of them

I’m not sure you’re understanding, why would the oilers give up assets to get a goalie that was worse, and they don’t even get any cap relief from it? It’s useless,l

I'm not sure you're understanding that a 32 year old, expensive goalie with worse career numbers isn't better than a 27 year old, cost controlled goalie who has thrived in a role as a true starter. Mike Smith is 40 and Korpi can be the Oilers goalie of the future.
