Connauton hasn't played 27 games in 2020-21 or 54 games in '19-21 therefore he is ineligible to be exposed. Panthers also have three D they can expose in Gudas, Nutivaara and Stralman. It's only depth.

Good depth signing for the Cats. Connauton is not necessarily a younger guy by any means and has only played 7 games this season. He looked good in the AHL last season, but just isn't getting to play much anymore with the whole taxi squad thing. But hey, it never hurts to have too much depth.
