Eichel isnt even worth 2 of Drysdale, Zegras and the Ducks first let alone all 3 and Lindholm

Eichel is top 10 player in the league now, top 5 at his best.

And? Why are the Ducks selling the farm for Eichel? So they can be exactly what BUF is right now? So they can be at best 10pts better in the standings and still be a bottom 8 team?

Yeah Eichel is not worth selling the farm for

Youd also have Casey who had a breakout year and is on the uprise as a late bloomer. Maybe switch the 1st for a 2nd but besides that Eichel is worth Drysdale and Zegras

Don't see why the Ducks would do this

Eichel's injury could really hurt his trade value, and I don't think Anaheim is willing to take this risk so early into a rebuild.

The only thing Eichel has proven is that he can put up points. His leadership qualities are in question, and he hasn't been able to get this team over the hump and into the playoffs. IMO all these young guys are getting paid way too much, way too early, and not having to prove their worth other than scoring in the regular season. McDavid, Matthews, Marner, Eichel. None of these guys are making a dent in the playoffs. I look at guys like Kopitar, Doughty, Kane, Toews, who all got paid after they proved themselves in the important part of the season. It's the generation, everyone wants to get paid for potential, and mentally, most of them are soft because they've been coddled all the way since youth hockey. (And I know I sound like a crotchety old man.....)

How many points has Zegras or Drysdale had in the NHL? There's been a lot of players who have enormous potential that don't pan out. Neither one of those players have proven anything in the league yet, Eichel has.

What has Eichel proven exactly? that he can put up points in the regular season on a bad team? That he cant elevate a team out of the worst team in the league? That hes a questionable leader? And now with his very serious injury he does not get anything near this in a return

ANA is one of the worst fits in the league for Eichel and trading 2 top 5 prospects in the league for one player is horrible asset management, especially a player that has proven he cant elevate a basement level team

One or two players don't make up a team. The kings and Blackhawks teams that you referenced were complete teams. They were put together perfectly, look at the talent on those teams. McDavids teams have been so top heavy with weak defense and garbage goaltending. And Eichels teams, give me a break, he's had very little to work with. Swap Eichel with both Kopitar and Doughty both in their primes, you think the Sabres are cup contenders? Lol

First off I've heard that the Ducks front office thinks that they have one last run in them with this core. The Ducks also have the 6th best odds in landing Eichel, look it up. Second. Yes he can put up points in the regular season, he plays on a crap team that can't make it to the playoffs. That's not on him, he hasn't had much help. What has McDavid or Draisaitl done in the playoffs? They can't get out of the first round. Or Mathews and Marner, all they do is put up points in the regular season, they can't make it out of the 1st round and they're on a stacked team. Does that make any of them unproven players? One or two players doesn't make a team. You need pieces, and Jack Eichel is a centerpiece for any team. Propects are just Propects, potential but haven't proven anything.
