Description
I forgot to add the note to the trade, and can't be bothered to revert it and re-do everything:

Nashville:
Marner fits Nashville's timeline better than Forsberg IMO. He's also a young star who could be really nice to build around with Tolvanen, as well as someone who could be very marketable. With so many good defencemen, Nashville is going to lose 1 of them and they might as well do that in a trade where they're upgrading a position of weakness. Giving up Kunin is tough, but they're also getting a cheaper guy who can kill penalties in the deal (on top of a bonafide star in Marner) to sort of replace him, just on the LW. The pick is in there just cause I wanted to get a pick from every round in 2022 lol.

Toronto:
You disperse your spending a bit while getting a slightly worse player who's a bit older and signed for fewer years, which slightly diminishes his value in relation to Marner. You also bring in a solid RD and decent middle-six winger who are both young and on pretty good contracts/RFA. Finally, you pull from a position of strength in LW depth to add on a position of weakness in RW depth.

Trades
1.
TOR
  1. Patrick, Nolan [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
This trade is assuming Gostisbehere gets moved or selected in the expansion draft, which I think will probably happen.
PHI
  1. Dermott, Travis [RFA Rights]
2.
3.
TOR
  1. 2022 6th round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
Buffalo would take literally any NHLer at this point and Engvall could be good for them.
4.
TOR
  1. 2021 4th round pick (MIN)
  2. 2022 5th round pick (SJS)
Additional Details:
Minny desperately needs C depth, and Kerfoot fits that bill. They're in win-now mode and giving up a late 4th rounder and fifth next year shouldn't be an issue for them.

I can't see NSH being interested in acquiring a $10m+ contract right now -- maybe if they get rid of one of Johansen/Duchene.

Sabres don’t have much of a use for Engvall.
Girgensons
Bjork
And Asplund are all better.

"Buffalo would take literally any NHLer at this point and Engvall could be good for them." Based on what. They have 0 interest in Engvall, thats one of the worst takes ive read. They need top 6 forwards or goalies, Engvall is neither
