I like Dahlin and I agree with previous posters that this probably isn't enough to shake him loose from Buffalo, but I also don't think it's a great trade for NJ. It's kinda one-step-up, two-steps-back.

If the Devils have faith in Hughes and Buffalo is intent on trading Eichel, I imagine the only way a Dahlin deal gets done is if Hischier is going the other way.

I'd rather try my luck with the 4th overall pick than trade Wood, Bahl, and that pick for one player. Even though the value is too low here for Dahlin, NJ is opening more holes than they are filling with this trade.

Dahlin would be a good pick-up for the Devils but I don't think Buffalo is gonna give him up for that

I'd think the price would more realistically be Ty Smith plus #4 overall pick.
The more pieces are added, the less return they each get.

Does Dahlin want to leave? Is there reason he would be moved out of 'untouchable' category?
