I’m really mixed on the deal— I love Schneider’s game and view him as a long term piece on defense. Rangers don’t have too many physical defensemen like him. One of the reasons why I think Lundkvist is more likely to be traded.

How about make it a 3-way deal, Buffalo gets Schneider and the pick as well as retain on Monahan for the last 2 years of his deal. Calgary then adds Zary, Dube and #12 for Eichel

Not sure Buffalo is going to be looking at acquiring young Dmen with Power and Dahlin. Maybe Lundkvist to play with Dahlin, but he's still unsigned.

Schneider's a RD no? A top 4 of Dahlin, Power, Jokiharju, Schneider just sounds way to much like what Colorado's done now and what Nashville did years ago. Really enticing IMO. Even then they may not even pick Power, Beniers has just as good a shot at going #1 here

I think he broke his ankle today, Beniers. Looked brutal.
