Off-season imo

Team: 2021-22 Toronto Maple Leafs
Team Explanation
I don’t like this, but this is the best I could come up with based on the low estimate of the new salary cap. I didn’t trade any of the core because 1. It doesn’t look like Dubas will do that either, & 2. It would be almost impossible to get back equal value for any of those players

That’s fair enough, but imo it’s not too far off from what Galchenyuk’s gonna get and it’s not going to change much there, at most it means that I could have added Joey Anderson to the scratches or got a backup goalie that has a glove hand

That is not even close to what team would offer him. Jesus. I’d be suprised if he gets anything more than 2 mil- even that’s a stretch. U don’t give someone 4.5 mil based on half a seasons performance where he was ok.

Ok, if you’re doing a 1 or 2 year deal I understand where you’re coming from, but I signed him for 4 years, and because of that I honestly believe that he won’t get less than 3.5 for those 4 years. Bonus, that contract for Galchenyuk is still easily tradeable later on in the deal if he doesn’t fit anymore or you need more cap space
