No from NYI. We can just buy Hickey out and get better value for Bellows.

This draft does not have a true #1 pick, so there is no need to trade up.

Value just is not there for Wings to do that.

Even then I don't think it's worth it. This years draft is so deep that we're better off retaining assets, than trading up.

No chance Detroit offers that package. I could see them offering 6 and WSH pick if Detroit really loved one player. Nobody really knows how the top 10 will shake out so 1st OV isn't worth what it typically would be.

I just had it as #6 and erne which is fine to get power

As you can see this is an instant non-starter. Even if we take out value, which is just kind of silly, because of the slim margins between players in this years draft a team like Detroit just should not take back. You could make a very good argument for 6 players to suit Detroit very well at pick 6 minimum, so even if 5 of those are gone by pick 6 they easily get a player that suits an organisational need.
Saying Erne + 6OA for 1OA seems like hyperbole, but the difference between 6 and 1 is pretty small, so anything more than that would be detrimental to the rebuild imo.
I think some of this comes from media saying Detroit is past the worst of the rebuild. Thats not true.
I believe next season they will play better hockey, but finish lower in the standings, theyre going from a weak division, to a stronger one, and some of the teams who finished lower will be getting an easier schedule next year. ex. Anaheim won't be playing Colorado and Vegas 9 times each.

Why would Buffalo even think to trade down?

I completely overlooked the part where you said remove the Washington pick. That's fair.

Detroit declines. There isn't a big enough gap in talent between 1 and 6 to justify giving up pick 22/23, a former 1st rounder (Veleno), and a solid bottom 6 player (Erne).
