Avs are not looking for a trade due to the Draft
No they aren't going to lose him for nothing, he will be protected
This is an awful undervaluing of him

Ryan Graves is going to be exposed, thats an easy decision
Toews is a top pairing Dman...Graves is not

and no they are not going to trade graves prior to the draft either

Bc there is no guaranteed Graves is picked, and if you trade him before the XD then they will ose a guy like Donskoi instead. So lose Graves and Donskoi just to have some draft picks. Avs dont want Picks or futures they want to ice their best possible roster.

Trading guys prior to the XD just makes them worse off next year

They'll keep toews, he doesnt have a NTC which you can look up on this website

Yes, or he'll be bought out, they may also get an injury exemption for him depending if they prorate the season

Graves is the guy they'll probably at least listen to offers on. Toews is way too valuable to trade, and they will protect him from Seattle even if it means exposing a good forward.

If Seattle takes Graves, the Habs could look to acquire him from them. Supposedly Bergevin was taking a good long look at Graves before the deadline last year when he was present at a handful of Avs games. Obviously nothing happened, but there was some interest there (assuming the rumors were true).

Montreal beats a depleted Leafs team and now are on route to "cup contenders"...
Wont even begin to pile on with how horrific that Avs deal is.. Toews is their second best Dman, not moving for two 2nds.
Avs only got that price because NYI was against the cap and COL was outside the division
