we should not get rid of Varlamov. I feel like this team wouldn't do well if we did this.

Anderson had a rough season - Mitch Korn and Piero grieco are the best goalie coaches in the league. It would make sense for Anderson to play for a great defensive team with the isles and work with those two so he can increase his value and cash in next offseason.

Sharks pass. Bellows needs to be protected so that is just we lose him instead of you. A better Labanc deal would be a mid first plus a good prospect

yeah that would make more sense - I just read on the athletic that it's possible labanc gets traded for a goaltender.

I didn’t see that one. I would assume that’s a sorokin type and not an old guy when there’s plenty of good UFA goalies the same age as Varly. Labanc would be delt for a long term goalie solution

I’m curious, if the Islanders do lose Leddy to Seattle, is there a package around a Rielly for Dobson? Or is he untouchable

I think rielly would be Leddy 2.0 in Trotz system. I would say Dobson is pretty much untouchable , Lou wouldn’t include him in a trade for stone (which I actually would’ve done) .

Is the market for Pelech really only 4x4.5M? That seems to be common thought on all these posts but the dude has to be a top 3 defensive defenseman in the league (possibly the best young one) and I can easily see him at 6x6M.

His comparables are Devon toews (4.1 x 4) and weegar (3.25 x 3). They were both RFAs when they signed their contracts and both are elite defensively. 4.5 x 4 takes him to his age 30 season where he can cash in again.
