Helpful to allocate Seattle AGMs for 21-22 as it lines up the contracts perfectly for expansion; a lot of these players aren't relevant to that process as UFAs

laugh laugh Those teams aren't giving up those picks to Seattle, What a joke. Turner Elson's a freaking UFA so Detroit's not surrendering a 5th round pick for a UFA.

They will in order to keep all of Stecher, Lindström, Cholowski, Svechnikov, Smith.

Detroit is one of the few teams that would accept this and they'd do it to keep Seattle from taking one of the players they want to keep not because they have any interest in dumping Elson.

Ottawa is not giving up any additional assets, Seattle takes who they take. And Tierney is the best available anyway lol, why would we pay Seattle to take the guy they should select anyway

In general, this entire concept is just bad. You’re assuming every single team will pay something, which will not even get offered, let alone happen, Seattle does not have to accept every trade if they like the exposed player more than the offer of assets to pseudo-protect them. 54 picks in 3 years is absolutely absurd, that will literally never happen. And Seabrook is retired and 12 of the guys you selected are UFAs.

You need to draft a player, not a pick.

No they wont, Stecher is a filler until our kids are ready on D, Svechnikov is as good as gone doubtful Yzerman even wants him. Smith can easily be protected as will Cholowski and Lindstrom. Elson is a UFA and very doubtful he'd even sign with Seattle much less giving up a 5th for him.

NJ won't pay for Seattle to take anyone unless there is someone that they are really trying to protect (unlikely). Subban still serves a role on the right side which is thin and has a good locker room presence so it would be more harmful to pay an asset to lose him.

I would be really surprised if many teams gave picks to Seattle to select or not select certain players. My guess is GMs learned from the Vegas experience.

It's the inverse
"GIVE ME YOUR DRAFT PICK, AND YOU GIVE ME YOUR DRAFT PICK, AND YOU GIVE ME YOUR DRAFT PICK! ALL OF YOU MAKE IT RAIN IN SEATTLE WITH YOUR DRAFT PICKS"
