Trades
1.
EDM
  1. Mikheyev, Ilya
  2. Rielly, Morgan
Additional Details:
This is kind of similar to the Kadri trade. Edmonton gets a top offensive defenseman to QB they PP and to play with the big guns up front. They also get a worse version of Puljuarvi that can be kept long-term at an affordable price while they look to resign Nuge and bring in other wingers on longer-term bigger money deals.

TOR
  1. 2021 1st round pick (SEA)

Kings aren’t paying anyone to take Brown, he’s had the opportunity to leave since the rebuild started and will only be moved if he wants to, but I’d put my money on him retiring without playing for another team.

Seattle ain't doing that. They can spend 14.4m on UFAs better than Marner and Kerfoot and keep their 2nd overall pick.

And even for the Leafs made that Seattle deal, that's a massive overpay for Eichel. Keep the young assets and picks and spend 10m on a UFA, instead of obtaining Eichel.

Oilers aren't doing that. We have no need for a pp qb and reilly is on a 1 year contract anyways. I'd rather they just resign barrie than trading for reilly.

Welcome to CapFriendly! Sometimes it's not too friendly.

There is no reason in the world for us to pay to trade Dustin Brown away. We have plenty of cap space and he led the team in power-play goals this year.
