If you’re gonna get chychrun and a forward from Arizona, I’d prefer garland, and you should have valimaki over andersson, as that actually makes sense for both sides (calgary gets chychrun-andersson and hanifin-tanev in their top 4 which is insane, arizona gets the future 1LD long term partner for soderstrom that will help their rebuild). I’d also probably not trade monahan, but if it means getting chychrun and garland then I’d probably be fine giving up valimaki+12oa which I don’t say lightly. There’s no chance we get landeskog though, much as I’d love him, and Hyman probably needs more money that he doesn’t deserve to get him out of toronto (that’s probably fair, maybe even a little high, but the leafs give him that and he likes it better there). Coleman for around the same dollar figure (maybe a little less) would work though.

To be fair, Calgary has a huge Swedish base (Backlund, Markstrom, Lindholm, Andersson) so it wouldn’t be the most outrageous landing spot if he went to the open market, but honestly it’s just wishful thinking to hope he leaves Colorado. I’d be willing to bet he has had a handshake long term extension in place for months, probably at a team friendly discount that will make the rest of the league rage hahaha
