Why is there a taxi squad. You get new information that we are continuing with it next year?
And new information on expanding it from 6 to 7 guys?

LMAO what? Lemieux is a full time NHLer and excellent depth enforcer. Malgin very likely isn't qualified by Toronto this summer and Kokkonen is at best a 3rd pair defenseman 5 years from now.

Sounds to me like you just have no idea who Lemieux is

I watched the WJC, nothing amazing. Its clear to me though that youve never watched Lemieux play. Or value what he brings to a game. Energy for 1 thing, something Toronto severely lacked these playoffs

toronto lacked goal scoring from their big guys, dont go off narratives you read online and actually watch them play

I watched every Leaf game these playoffs, I love in the GTA i couldn't avoid it if i tried. Im aware their top guys went AWOL (thats why ive told you I have zero interest in Marner to Calgary), however nobody else showed up either besides Nylander. Depth scoring and high energy players with the ambition to win is important. Spezza was good and Hyman was good but had awful luck, Kerfoot and Galchenyuk put up points but weren't honestly that relevant (that was more Nylander playing excellent). Ill give Foligno a pass because he was injured but other than that your forward depth was non-existent.

A guy like Lemieux would provide exactly what Wayne Simmonds was supposed to do. Very Goodrow style player.

Why would you not just keep Dermott instead of signing Del Zotto. Same kind of player? no
