He's a former Carolina Hurricane, no wonder he's a genius.

If he's smart he'll select a RW w/ concussion issues that's played all of 88 games over the last 3 years? The same guy that has a $2.6 million QO that most likely Boston won't offer, thus making Kase a UFA?

Exactly, they'll be taking Frederic or Clifton (probably Clifton since he's having such a great playoffs)

For hawks in Forwards I protected Kane, Toews, Debrincat, Strome, Gaudette, Hagel and Nylander ( so Borg is available)
For stars: Seguin, Radulov, Pav, Benn, Hintz, Guri, Dickinson
Wild def: Suter, Spurgeon, Brodin ( Dumba available)
For pit off. :Malkin, Crosby, Guentzel, Carter, Rust, Kapanen and Blueger (Mccann available)
SJS off prot.: (Balcers, Couture, Labanc, Kane, Hertl, Meier, Gambrell)
WPG: Wheeler, Scheif, Connor, Dubois, Ehlers, Lowry and Appleton

-I think 3/4 of Gaudette, Hagel, Nylander and Borgstrom will be protected, not sure who's the odd man out. Nylander has missed the season and I doubt they leave Borgstrom unprotected after acquiring/signing him.
-Faksa over Dickinson for DAL I would say.
-I know for Dumba, I don't see them leaving Dumba unprotected, either a side deal or they trade him before the draft.
-McCann over Kapanen or Blueger, more the latter.
-Dahlen over Balcers or Gambrell. They just signed him it appears.
-Copp is better than Appleton and Lowry so over Appleton.

I’d say they protect Copp because then they can find a way of keeping him

I feel like the Penguins would just trade McCann on draft day vs exposing him to Seattle. A 24 year old, middle 6 center, that has averaged 0.6 pts/game over his last 2 seasons has a lot of/late 1st value (he might be better than any center to hit the FA market this summer).

Yeah I guess you could go Machand, Bergeron, Pastrnak, Debrusk, Coyle, Ritchie, Frederic
