a lot could be done between now and then, Giroux moved to a contender at the TDL clearing that cap space, or resigned around 5 mil per, Voracek moved with retention. Frost won't need much of a raise, still unproven. Couts could get 8.5 per filling girouxs current cap, moving Vorecek with money retained would leave money for Farabee, or you make a few smaller moves like let Braun and NAK walk in free agency and fill the roles with prospects and throw the money at Farabee.

haha, dude you're an absolute legend for even suggesting this. No shot Colorado lets him go, but man, seeing his name with a Flyers logo next to it is oh so nice.

I wouldn’t mind patrick getting a fresh start, and I know the management loved him pre draft, but I’m not trading the 36th pick for a guy that hasn’t shown it

He's exactly what the flyers need long term, i agree though slim chance Colorado lets him walk, not sure what their cap situation looks like, not even sure he would leave such a good team like Colorado to sign a massive offer sheet anywhere.

Oh don't get me wrong, I agree, imagine having Makar and not Patrick. But hindsight being 20/20 and the fact that he seems to love it in Colo (who wouldn't), makes it for me probably the most long shotted player that we could acquire.
