The immediate impact to the roster should be very positive, and at the end of the season there will be $18,000,000 of cap space to accommodate salary increases for Nurse, Bear, Puljujarvi, and McLeod. Have to hope that Smith and Archie can be replaced internally, with inexpensive young players.

Detroit could be interested. Kahun's ability to play all forward positions compared with Svechnikov only playing LW makes it worth a closer look.
