Evans has shown great flashes while paired with Gallagher/Danault, but if he doesn't come back in the playoffs, the injury could scare Seattle. I can't see Edmundson not being protected. I'd still bet on Allen

They have to find a way to keep allen and Edmundson. Both are huge pieces for this team. Maybe they take a swing on drouin if we leave him unprotected.

it’s definitely gonna be allen, if for no other reason than he’d be an excellent trade chip they can dangle to a team like edmonton or pittsburgh. Vanecek-Allen is a solid duo for a first year team though, and probably what they end up running

Be shocking if Evans isn’t protected.

You've taking far too much cap on some bad long term contracts. Taking LTIR contracts mean nothing if those players remain on LTIR. And if they are deemed medically fit, Seattle is screwed with their cap.

No way Nashville will give out Ryan Ellis like that.... Pitlick and draft picks but not a defenseman... of that caliber...

Habs likely to protect Evans and leave someone like Lehkonen exposed at forward. Imo Habs protect Weber, Petry, Edmundson and leave Chiarot exposed at D.

So I think Seattle will mull over either Lehkonen, Chiarot, or Allen. (All great picks to be honest) I find it hard to believe Seattle picking anyone other than Allen though... Guy is a 1B goalie and with his cap hit is almost too hard to pass on.
