Obviously. Just hope they learned from past mistakes and don’t hold back McMichael Alexeyev Fehérváry and Lappy. They basically gave away some high end talent for pennies on the dollar

You won’t be getting Vrana Panik and the first back for Mantha. We don’t want him back

The one I don't understand is the Stephenson deal. i mean you're a fan; what was the thinking there? Were they just trying to give him opportunity somewhere else, like what St. Louis did with Fabbri?

TBH i have no idea. he was the perfect combination of skill and speed. absolutely blows my mind... might be the worse trade they made recently

Yeah. And go into the 2018 playoffs with a rookie third pair of Djoos and Bowey, plus Johansen at #7. Great. smile

I mean, I think we could have maybe gotten more than a 5th... but I can’t lie, Stephenson wasn’t all that impressive with us. Burakovsky and Vrana couldn’t even crack the top 6 consistently (that is the fault of the coaches but also shows how set in stone our top 6 is for the most part for better or worse) and Stephenson was definitely not as good or impressive as either. But we shouldn’t have had such long, concrete contracts and should have been playing younger guys more

Yeah it's difficult to see what player any of the three would replace but I also think that's how good teams get stale. Too many NMC's and long term contracts.
