Leafs might do that trade. Don't think the Hawks and Wings do.

Haven’t heard anything about O’Brien since he was drafted. Hawks reject, in a Murphy deal we are looking for high quality as he is a high quality defender. I would love to get your first in a deal and draft a Goalie.

Rather go after a guy with term if we're trading our first.

Detroit passes, Hamilton isn't singing for anything cheaper then the Alex Pietrangelo deal. 7 x $8,800,000 if not slightly more.

Going to take a better sweetener to take Ghost off your books. You can remove the retention, but you'll need to add at least 1 B+ asset and one additional B-or higher asset

What about Patrick or a 2nd as a sweetener?

Is it that crazy? If leafs want to gain some cap, they gotta move one of the four. Konecny is a Marner replacement, obviously a bit worse, Myers is a 2nd/3rd pair young rhd, and 3 mill in cap relief

I have serious concerns about Patrick. I would take a flier on him as a gamble, but I do not consider him an asset of any kind at this stage. The cost is more like a 2nd and an additional asset, like a prospect that maybe doesn't have a future in your org, that could possibly just need a change of scenery.

I just see no way Liljegren belongs in this trade. Konecny did not really have a good year either and I am not really sold on Myers to be honest.

Closer but not quite there. A 2nd + Patrick (or even better Frost) would do it. In a pinch maybe a 2nd and a 3rd but that's cutting it fine.

Yep. If and only if the Leafs think Konecky and Myers are good NHLer and fair value would they do the trade. Then the Leafs have cap space to add another good players too.
