You can't be serious. We don't want Kerfoot. The only piece that really interests me is Nylander, for our best player and basically a younger Hyman. Not happening.
Also Anaheim laughs and hangs up

As a flames fan I would never do that trade.
Tkachuk is our best player and Mangiapane is one of the best two way forwards in the league.

Both Anaheim and Calgary say a polite, Hell No. And that's as polite as it gets.

Besides the fact that I don't think CGY takes it, it's even a bad trade for the leafs. Gibson is probably on the decline and now you have a goalie for that much money locked in for six years. And you have given good capital for it. Also, you don't have a 3C- so no depth again (people think Marner could not produce in the playoffs- go look at MT thus far). Moreover, you have completely blown up your cap (even the roster for this year is not compliant), and everyone has to be moved the year after because you have a goalie as a possible anchor, and MT at a minimum of $9mill the next year. It's hard to put into words how terrible this is.

I could totally see Mangiapane being a Selke candidate in a few years

Jones >> Anderson, plus his Qualifying Offer is $874,125, which is half of what we're probably going to offer him.

Amirov, a goalie prospect less highly rated than either of our two primary prospects, and a future first isn't in the right universe for Gibson.

The only way the Flames would ever give up both Tkachuk and Mangiapane would be if they were getting Matthews in return
