21-22 Hollands most important offseason

Description
I’m going to do this off-season and then next year in another armchair gm. I think this is a pretty realistic look at what Holland may do in terms of UFAs and drafting. By not resigning Nuge and Barrie we can use that money more effectively. Also, buying out Neal and Koskinen are no brainer moves. Finally, Kassian would cost too much to move to Seattle, so I buried him and Turks. Both are still useful players who can come up when needed. I have the kids starting off the year in Bakersfield but I expect to see Boucher and McLeod start the year with the big boys. Holloway, Broberg, and hopefully Lavoie will see some time in the NHL. Saad , Bonino, and Palmeri are the biggest signings and they should pay big benefits. Staal is a nice veteran add on at a cheap price. Murray is a bit of a risk but we need offence on the left of the blueline behind Nurse. I have Kahun going to Seattle with some insurances attached. Finally I hope we draft Cossa as our next one in net!

Danault turned down 5x$6M in Montreal why would he take $5M from Edmonton. He wants to play 2C or get paid 1C money to play 3C, he has made that pretty clear.

Remove Danault and put in an average 3C to make it more realistic and this team gets swept in the first round again.

The offer was 6 years at 5 million. We could bump that offer up but maybe he doesn’t want a 6 year deal.

Your right sorry about that. Either way I think your looking at the $7M range to convince him to play 3C. If the plan is to have him as a 2C then I think you get him around $6M. It just seems from what I've read that he doesn't want to be a third line center.

Looks good. I'm still not sure the team goes too far. I could be wrong tho. I think your thinking is along the lines of Toronto's from last year which didn't really work. It will be interesting to see how Edmonton rebuilds but I think Saad/Palmeri are good ideas to go after, I'd consider Coleman/Goodrow as well if I were Holland. Hamilton is a long shot but worth considering, he and Nurse would be sick.

I’d gladly give up one of the wingers for Hamilton but I don’t expect Holland to be that aggressive
