Seth Jones isn't worth that much, also Nylander isn't worth that much

I agree with the premise of all of these deals. I just think the value is off here and there. I think you undervalued Hampus Lindholm. Kurashev is certainly a valuable young player, but I think you’re overvaluing Mitchell. I think the Ducks would prefer Beaudin and I still think that on top of that, that 3rd needs to upgraded to a second to make that deal go through.
I don’t think the Leafs wanna give up Holl, he’s been excellent on their second pair next to Muzzin and only looks bad when Muzzin randomly gets injured in every playoffs. I know that you think this helps the leafs expansion plans, but I see them going 4x4 because Hyman is a UFA. The question for value in that deal is murky. Holl has been a more effective NHL player so far, while Nylander has tons of untapped potential. I really don’t know which team is giving up the higher pick to get that deal done.
I can’t say anything bad about the Seth Jones deal, if he returns to true form next year, that’s fair value for both teams. Moving on from Boq would hurt, but if it meant getting Seth Jones for the next 7 years, I’m totally fine with it. And Strome is a good candidate to play top 6 center on a team that desperately needs centers.
Overall, really good, but I think you just slightly favored the hawks in some of these deals.

Flames decline they can’t afford to take on the cap, they need to sign gaudreau, tkachuk and mangiapane

We could retain some salary and Sutter prob gonna want an experienced Shutdown D man who is versatile. De Haan is solid on both sides and bides time for Valimaaki to develop another year. You will have cap for all that with Gio's salary off the books as is this scenario.

Changing the 3rd to VGK 2nd 2021 wouldn't harm CHI so would do that. The Nylander one is tough because people think his brother could help him. I believe he has potential and just needs proper motivation which his brother may be able to drive in him. Yes Holl looks good with Muzzin next to him but he could be a serviceable 3RD for us in this scenario and if they are trying to make moves and be more flexible they may have to move him. I love Boq as much as any of us but for this, its about trying to have one last hurrah for Kane and Toews in the next couple of years with a Dach Toews 1-2 punch with the #11 pick being Toews replacement in a few years. It may not be good enough for a cup but at least gives them a slight chance.
