To put it simply, there’s just not a chance that Boston’s front office even discusses that.

sure sure, but at some point they need to discuss something, they cant afford Hall and Carlo, other UFA and RFA. They cant escape expansion with out losing a key dman.
they need a 2nd line centre for Hall and Smith, someone of the right age and salary to prolong the Bruins window another 3 years, after that, the fat lady has sung on the perfection line.

Miller and his game was born to be a Bruin and fits that criteria

Pretty simply put, i just think you don’t know much about the bruins and their cap structure.

Re-sign hall, krejci, rask, and carlo, and the off season is basically done.
They lose lauzon in the expansion draft, which stings, but that problem is likely solved internally.

Under your plan the bruins start their search for a number two d man, as they’ve lost theirs. Doesn’t make any sense.

Then I dont think you understand the cap structure, injuries and desire to continue while they can with the perfection line.
Cause you cant sign those guys and the others needed for $27m.

Ive been watching the bruins games and Quite frankly put, Lauzon, a cost controlled asset is displaying abilities beyond Carlo and has probably been their best all round Dman these playoffs.

Yes they can, quite easily i might add. They will still have about 10m in cap space to work with after they do. Not sure what you are looking at. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sure you can! Its easy. If you look through boston ACGMs you’ll see it’s actually pretty simple to wind up with 4-5 mill in cap space and do all that.

https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/2448118

This was just the first ACGM i pulled up. I think he lowballed some of the contracts by a million or so, but there’s 6.5 million in cap space, and that’s with giving 3 to ritchie who i don’t think will be brought back.

It’s really easy man. The numbers are the numbers. Just because you didn’t know another teams cap structure doesn’t mean you have to be a jerk about it. It’s okay to say, “i was wrong,” I’m wrong all the time.

You should probably look again. They have 28m in available cap space to work with. They likely dump Moore. If they sign Hall they trade Debrusk.

I just did a quick mock up where they dumped Moore to Seattle. Trade Debrusk for a 1st and re-signed. Hall at 7.5. Rask and DK at 5m each. Ritchie at 3. Reilly at 2.5. Carlo at 4.5. Miller and Frederic at 1.5. Then signed Granlund as a FA at 3.5. Still have. 5m in cap space left.

So you tell me what we are missing that only you seem to get?

Hahahaha trade Debrusk for a 1st = first sign you are delusional

regardless

Krejci = 5m
Hall = 7m
Kase = 2.6m
Ritchie, Kuraly, Frederic, Millar = 1.5m
Rielly = 2m
Carlo = 5m
Rask 6m

total $33.6M existing salaries $53.5M = $87.1M, I think that's over.

Yes its a 30 man roster, bury 6, million dollar players and lose Debrusk to seattle, you maybe right but that only leave $2m in space
Not $6 or $10

Yes a 1st plus actually. Plenty of interest. GMs are not as dumb as fans. They understand. Fans over react. Look at MAF, a vezina finalist after a bad year in which fans were cap dumping him. Hall was being dealt for pennies on the dollar after a bad season, now look. Debrusk is under 25, under team control, and was a top 6 producer his first 3 years averaging 25gper 82g. Had a terrible year. Underlying circumstances for it will be gone and should bounce back to what he was. Weak draft. Nobody in the bottom half of the first that I would trade him 1 for 1 for.

They are not re-signing Kase or Kuraly. Ritchie’s QO is 2m so signing him for less than that is a neat trick. Lol.

Frederic takes Kuraly role and Kase does not have one to take.

I said they’d have 10m left after the key players you mentioned.

As far as the scenario i listed they spent 77m. Leaving 4.5 in cap space and that’s after adding Granlund. Take him away they have 8m in cap space.

The notion they have a cap crunch is absurd. They are in better shape cap wise than most contenders going into next year. Nor do they have and expansion draft issue. The players they could potentially lose barring a deal are mid roster talent. Easily replaced.

Dude we just showed you examples of this. Its way easier to just, you know, look at it.
I think your salary estimates are for the most part solid, though I actually think Rielly and Krejci could be a bit more.
Kase is probably zero. I doubt they bring him back. I am absolutely sure they don’t qualify him. There’s just oodles and oodles of cap space for next season. Zero concerns. The following year when mcavoy needs 10+, lets talk about the bruins trying to shed cap.

-Your about a million high in Hall
-Kase isn't getting $2.6 million.
-Kuraly I see them moving on from
-Freddy is about $500k to high as is Miller

That's roughly $6 million right there.

Lol, wait and see.

They won’t trade him for 2nd anyway, they’d just keep him if that was the best they could do. It isn’t though.

Bruins decline, and VAN is not interested in moving Miller regardless. VAN would rather keep Schmidt, they don't a dman that can't play defense and a forward with serious concussion problems,

When vancouver is ready to compete for the stanley cup, Miller will be a UFA and in his 30's, under no circumstance should he be signed to a long term high money salary.
there is no point to miller on this roster, trade him now while his value, or hang onto him until his value is the lowest and trade him for peanuts or better yet, let him walk at free agency
