Maybe straight up for 9oa but not with Gourde TB RDis it's weakest position Cernak is a stud and I truly believe Foote will be

So I assume Tampa will protect 8 skaters instead of 7/3 in the expansion draft then? Cause Headman, Sergachev, Cernak, and Foote are all eligible.

No chance chance unless it's an absolutely grotesque overpay

Well, that Tyler Johnson contract is pretty hairy.

I had previously offered this deal and Lightning fans seems to be good with it.
Tyler Johnson, Cal Foote, 3rd....for....Miles Wood at 50% retained.

How could that be amended to swap Foote for Cernak?

Personally I'm not ok either way. Fowards the bolts produce like they're a factory they need all the defense help they have. I was amng those who were a hard no on that

So how do they reduce their cap by $10 million+?

I'd also take Johnson, 1st and Perbix (for future considerations)

Johnson with next year's 1 and Joseph to Seattle and trade either Killorn or Palat for a pick/picks. Both of whom would certainly be of positive value do to the bidding war negating any cap issues
