Quick question about the draft. Xavier Simoneau, who is 20 years old and a bit undersized put up solid totals in the Q this season. Would he even be worth drafting since he is already 20, and if so, where could he go. Very polarizing prospect for me in my draft rankings.


Likely a late 7th (like Harvey-Pinard to Montreal)

yeah thats the issue. In general Dubas probs can get Hyman now at 4.5-5 but for 8 years that would not be great plan considering similar guys are now anchors to their teams as their play vs pay has not aged well after two or three years after signing their new deals.

If Hyman was willing to do 5mill x 4 years I have a feeling he would be resigned by now. But if reports are correct he wants 5.5-6mill x 6 years yeah thats a no.

Great for them. A lot of players improved a good amount under Granato. Don't know a ton about Granato, but I know he's better than Krueger. Rare W for the Sabres here.


Dahlin and Middlestadt looked fantastic under Granato

This should help the Sabres develop their young players

And once again the league and everything related to it licks Vegas' butt, Vasy deserves the Vezina, Tampa wasn't even top 2 in their division this season while Vegas finished first. Also Vasy's backup is a below average one where as Vegas has 2 starting level goalies

Damn they robbed Vasy of the Vezina. I guess he'll just have to win the Cup and Conn Smythe instead.

I'm glad Hedman didn't get preferential treatment though, Fox deserved the Norris 100%

Fleury won the over Vasy for some reason
McDavid deservedly won the hart
Fox won the Norris while I would’ve given it to Makar sure better than Hedman
I’m pretty sure Calder is tonight too but Kaprizov should be a lock for it

McJesus himself went in disguise and voted for his buddy Mike Smith (don't know why he put him 3rd though). He didn't want to be alone with his trophies so he wanted his ol' bud to win the Vezina. That's my theory.

Thanks! Vasy was nothing better than his normal clutch this season, so I could see why they would maybe want to give it to Fleury this year with his breakout season.

Not trying to be biased, but jack campbell should’ve gotten votes instead of mike smith. Almost anyone who watched this season would say Campbell > Smith

We won’t see the breakdown. They release the media member individual votes, but not the GMs.

Why on earth is anyone complaining Fleury won the Vezina? He had better numbers than Vasilevskiy (both basic and advanced).
