The Canes pretty much need to sign one of: Saad, Tatar, Palmieri, or Perry to save our offseason. We need help or else were just back in the mix with all of the other wild card hopefuls.

Her and Mac Neil. Even the young Summer McIntosh, she's literally my age and she's doing very well at the Olympics, when she gets at Penny's age she could be even better than her.

Like the teams in cities with higher tax can spend to the $81.5M while the lower ones can spend only $79.5M for example. Tax differential would be what dictates the prorated cap limit.


Let's keep the League rules (all of them - like em or lump em) w/ the League and not a bunch of spend & tax dumb-dumb politicians...

Tis true for some yes.
But for other factors, there's huge quality of life in VAN or TML for example w/ great schools, medi-plans, the "Roxy" night-club etc. that gotta be better than DET or BUF or GLENDALE or NJ etc etc?
Are we gonna try and monetize that quotient too?

Course not...the Cap-works, could it be tightened or made more flex; absolutely.

These other factors can be explained by the fact that Canadians pay taxes more for the nation to work and people to live in general better. These places in US have different things in their mind in terms of how they're built it seems.

Just a slippery slope to say let's throw a dart at the "tax rate" and judge all the NHL homes that way.
It's accounting and their rules change more than diapers doo.

Besides, US cities carry debt-loads in US dollars....CDN cities do it w/ the weak CDN-pesos.

League should be run by hockey people [period]
The day it's accountants and lawyers at the helm their doomed (hmmm the end is nigh - repent!)
