July 9: First buyout Period
July 13: Deadline for teams to request players to waive NMC for Expansion Draft
July 16: Last day for teams to place players on waivers before expansion
July 17: Deadline for protection lists
July 18: NHL releases protection lists
July 21: Seattle Expansion Draft
July 23: 2021 NHL Draft Round 1
July 24: 2021 NHL Draft Round 2
July 26: Deadline for teams to tender QO RFAs
July 27: Buyout period ends. RFA contract period begins.
July 28: Free Agency Begins

For anyone wondering what Dallas’s protection list will be here is what will 99.9% be that list

F: Benn (NMC), Seguin (NMC), Radulov (NMC), Hintz, Gurianov, Pavelski and Faksa
D: Heiskanen, Klingberg and Lindell

And if anyone is wondering what the Devils protection list is

F: Nico, Bratt, Zacha, Wood, Sharangovich, Kuokkanen, McLeod
D: Severson, Graves, Siegnthaler/Subban
G: Blackwood

The forwards are 99% confirmed. The defense might be different. If the Devils don't make a trade, the spot is going to Siegnthaler most likely. If they do, it will go to Subban or the defensemen they acquire

Oof. This guy’s forgetting about expansion, and also forgetting the fact that there’s a huge difference between Ryan Graves and Devon Toews.

Lou turned Devin Toews in the 60th pick this draft.
Sakic turned Ryan Graves into the 61st pick this draft.

Also the Devils turned Andy Greene into Ryan Graves. That pick Colorado got was what the Islanders gave up for Andy Greene.

but also kind of hoping they dont protect him so he can end up in Toronto sarcasm (we need to reunite all the former greyhounds so we can make the joke RELEASE THE HOUNDS)

In general I knew this potentially was gonna happen due to Burke and Hextall running things. Tanev is the kind of player they like. McCann is a mixed bag to them or in other words expendable which is sad.

I've been so busy in my spare time I completely forgot that the expansion draft list deadline is tomorrow, I've barely kept up with the projected exposures/ lists. It's gonna get spicy real fast.

I can't wait for the absolute MAYHEM from the list releases on Sunday.

This is taken out of context, I am pretty confident that the deal is agreed and not signed.

The russian interviewer asked if there is even a 1% chance that he might come to Russia next season and Ovi said anything is possible.

He did say negotiations are still ongoing which is surprising but could also just be him toying with the interviewer

No question it's McDonagh who they would be looking at with the Weber injuries and what a stud he was for Tampa in their back to back cup runs. In times like this it feels like teams work together to make sure the Kraken won't get a good player like McDonagh.
