Canada has never been not multicultural. English and French cultures existed during confederation and the push westward uprooted a ton of Metis cultures. Don't think it's appropriate for a country built out of a colony to stick to one culture.

I believe that people must assimilate where as we encourage and promote « ghettos » where people keep their culture, creating a mosaic.
