Beyond furious that the Lightning couldn't even get a prospect or pick in return for Johnson. You mean to tell me you had to give up one of the best 3rd/4th line C's in the league (and let's be honest, he would be 2nd line C on a lot of teams) AND a 2nd round pick just to get another team to take him?! Now Seabrook stays on LTIR for the next 3 years. Absolutely nothing in return. Stunned at this one from JJB. Better to keep him and squeak under the cap (which they could've done, now that Gourde is gone) than to literally pay other teams to take him.

Man, the Freddy to CAR news is kinda getting on my nerves. Carolina has been rumored to be interested in Andersen for some time now and I'm assuming they've at least had some level of talks about his rights before today. Couldn't have worked out a Nedeljkovic trade? Campbell and Ned for a combined $4.65m would've been incredible.

This is something people will disagree with you. Knowing their status moving Johnson for only a 2nd should be considered a W. No one is going their way to help TB knowing how extremely cap strapped they are.
