Nope waiver exempt but the deal I believe has to be an ELC.

I’m referring to anatoli Golyshev - isles burned the 1 year ELC in March. He’ll be signing a 1 year 750 k deal for this season

Oh that guy, hes not waiver exempt.

That contract he signed is done now so he is not waiver exempt anymore. Its like what happened with Barabanov

I guess he goes with all the other 200000 LW that the Leafs try to play with Matthews-Marner or Tavares-Nylander

When's the last time the Leafs signed someone off a PTO? Mason Raymond?

Huh I thought he was going to Tampa

As all indications seemed to suggest Kucherov was trying to get him back

Honestly reminds me of that scene from the Dark Knight with the Joker and tryouts lul

Still internal competition is never a bad thing as it often brings the best out of players.

“The goal of the Marner Assist Foundation is to generate sustainable change for children and youth by providing resources that will make a significant impact on their lives. The focus is to provide assistance in the areas of children’s social care, health, education as well as supporting environmental causes to ensure our children have a sustainable future”

I hate how vague these charities are, I just want to know what specifically the moneys going for if I’m donating

Garland is very good , but Vancouver should have taken Guenther and let their bad contracts expire. They could have been legitimate contenders in a year or 2.

Loui Eriksson

PS, they wouldn’t afford Petey and Hughes and the team would suck

OEL + Garland = Erickson, beagle , rousell cap hit

The team is slightly better now, but OEL is arguably the worst contract in the league at 7.2 mill. He’s nowhere close to a top pair D. I would have let the other contracts expire and then rebuild the D core for next season with D that are actually good.

Plus they could use Guenther on an ELC

No. The rebuild is over. No way. Benning was just going to throw another year out the window. This is a make or break year for management. Also he’s, OEL and Garland have the same cap hit as the three stooges but already they play and will most likely play big minutes. Pettersson would also have a less of an incentive to want to stay without OEL and the fact that they’d probably suck this year. OEL is bound for a bounce back season. He should be able to prove he’s a top 4 d. After this year if he still declines, then I take back my word but for now, that deal worked out for Jim Benning in the short term which is why it happened

Yeah Jim benning is trying to save his job. This makes Vancouver a 1st rd exit team at best, the trade is terrible for the future of the team. It was a short sighted move

I agree that the Garland/OEL trade was short sighted
Garland and OEL would make 0.21M more than Eriksson, Beagle, Roussel
Vancouver could have dumped those contracts elsewhere for less, buried the contracts, or bought them out to save them money.
So yes they would still be able to sign Hughes and EP

Assuming EP and Hughes sign for 16M in total, they would have 15M to sign Boeser, Rathbone, 3 other forwards, and a backup goalie which is possible
But in 2023-24, they would have to resign Miller, Horvat, and Hoglander
Guenther on ELC would be huge
The Canucks really limited their future cap situation with the OEL trade and this team isn't a championship team. The forward core and goaltending is good, but the defense is bad

It’s possible the isles have the tallest D core in the NHL this season if the isles top D prospect Bolduc makes the team.

6’3 6’2
6’9 6’4
6’4 6’5
