Any less then 3m and your not getting Armia

We can justify keeping him up until and maybe a little over that
But with Anderson,Toffoli,Gallagher,Caufield and option to re-sign Perry likely
after that point it becomes a tough sell

But we arent letting him walk for nothing
He's Kotkanemi's Mentor and after letting Chucky's mentor Eller go to early he spiraled.
KK is settled but having a hometown friend on the teams really helped him a lot mentally

It would be like me low balling Copp or Lowry
Theres a point where you'd let them go but it wont be for nothing when you can afford to match

I think you got it right the first time, letting Copp go in the expansion draft. I interpret your trade as Vesalainen (as he's exempt from Seattle selection) and the 3rd Rnd pick to protect Copp, but who do you imagine them selecting instead? Stanley? or Demelo if you protect Stanley? Not sure I want the Jets to give 3 assets instead of 1 to the Kraken just to protect Copp.

Those are all really strong points. Letting Copp go is probably the smarter decision… I just really like the player.

See my post in your other thread.

Niku is a LD. He’s played mostly on the right in Winnipeg, just due to their lack of depth at RD… but he’s left handed, and naturally plays the left side.

Capfriendly has him listed as a RD.

It doesn't matter one bit though. Niku played a total of 6 games this year and 18 games last year. He's not a useful NHL player.

Detroit will not pay assets for a player they have no use for. Players like Niku can be picked off waivers for free by the dozens.

Why do other teams fans think that Detroit will pay them to take on their rejects?
