If we deal with LA I think it will be tough to get both Turcotte and a top 8 pick. It’s got to be one or the other. I also think LA would prefer to keep the 8th pick, but it’s possible, I don’t think they’d include Bjornfot though they need defenseman

I think the issue now is Eichel will likely take the surgery, and no trade will occur until he has recovered from said surgery. I think the Kings can't afford to wait through free agency for a chance at Eichel, and they will use their assets to get a top LD or sign a free agent winger.

I don't think Turcotte and the #8 would be off the table, but if you get both, I don't think you'd get back Kaliyev as the 3rd asset. The Kings are light on winger prospects, so Buffalo would have to take back one of the 2nd tier center prospects instead (Kupari, Madden, Thomas, etc.).

Bjornfot and Anderson are untouchable unless there's an upgraded LHD coming back.

I think the recovery time for the surgery he wants is very quick.

Honestly, I think every team should want Eichel. If his value truly is down, I’d buy low, let him get the surgery, roll the dice that he comes back at an MVP caliber, and then flip him at the deadline

LA really wants a young stud defenseman. As a Sabres fan i would not object to trading #1 (Power) for Byfield.

Just a thought.

Not disagreeing, who doesn't want a superstar? I also think the Kings and Sabres would make great trade partners, the issue is that the Kings have a lot more areas of concern and they can't put all their chips on one guy once the free agency/trading period opens, Blake has been trying for Eichel for two years, if he can't get it done, he needs to address the real areas of concern for the Kings (top-line LD and top-line winger). That's my two cents.

CHI accepts. Helps both teams needs.

btw I doubt LAK want to give up that much. Change Turcotte to Thomas and then you might get a change of tune.

The Kings/Eichel thing always confuses me. I never really buy it as a fit.
