Brainstorming some thoughts here…..

FLORIDA TRADE:
I love Boeser, I really do, but I don’t feel that he has played to his $7.5 million qualifying offer he will be due after this year. Can he be that player? Absolutely. Do I want him gone? Not really. But I’ve done it anyways.
I’m not sure what Tippetts value is, but I think he’s capable of being a fair replacement for Boeser. I’m not saying he is or will be Boeser, but I think he can come in and be a good enough player to be in the top 6. Vancouver also needs RD, so Nutivaara is a solid choice. The 1st balances the values….I think?
I was originally going to use Vancouver’s 1st (9 overall) for Tippett and Nutivaara, but I don’t think that’s enough. If it is, sign me up! I believe this is poor value coming back to Vancouver, but I could be wrong. Boeser is a stud, so it’s cost a lot to move him, but I’m not sure this is it. I’d much rather keep him, but I need the 1st for the next trade lol. I also don’t think it would fit in the cap if he’s here.

CHICAGO TRADE:
I don’t think Chicago has plans of moving Strome, as they’d have Toews (if he’s back) along with Dach and Strome down the middle. I think Strome would be a good 3C for Vancouver and is young so he fits the core here. I like the idea of Zadorov alongside Hughes. A big physical stay at home guy, who will allow Hughes to free wheel.

Moving Boeser means we better get a quality RHD back otherwise we're just needlessly creating a void in our lineup.

Obviously a very unlikely scenario but if Van were to move Boeser to Florida I think it would have to be in a big deal based around Ekblad.

VAN is not moving Boeser, but if they did it would be for a top 4 right shot dman.

agreed, if they trade Boeser to FLA then i would hope to see Ekblad in the return.
