I know people will say they can’t score and stuff, well they couldn’t get out of their own zone. That’s on the defensemen more than it is the forward. And they didn’t even try. Like HOLY ****. So mad rn.

I think their offence is fine. Dubios will be better and we can reanalyze at the tdl. The focus needs to be defence. However, not Hamilton. Overrated and not coming to Winnipeg. Need to get a guy like severson or pulock.

My expectation is that the Jets make a deal with Seattle to take someone like Niku or hopefully Beaulieu. I would love Hamilton and would be willing to pay big money to make it happen. Instead of Janmark I'd bring one of Stastny or Perreault back. If Perfetti makes the team it won't be with Lowry who will be the main shutdown centre again next year.

I like the idea of Heinola and another young guy behind Morrissey with a strong right side group, but like I said I think it will be Stanley

Jets and Islanders match up well for off season deal.
They held onto to Bolduc, Wilde, Salo during TDL because they may have to part with 1-2 d-man to make their cap work.

Too much bottom six talent on this team, there's three legit top 6 forwards and that's it, as much as there's holes on defense they have major work to do up front as well and they really really need to get some guys who are harder to play against, Lewis, Thompson and Perreault were fine but they're not wearing down the opposition.

May we offer you Erik Karlsson? He has a NMC but we can say the magic word (rebuild!), we'll retain salary, you send over Appleton, Stanley, Niku, and draft picks, and you'll have a Norris Trophy d-man in your hands.

Severson is not in the same universe as Hamilton, and you are not getting Pulock.

I literally can't think of two more opposites like San Jose and Winnipeg. EK65 is not going to Winnipeg.

How I see it, heinola has the potential to be a good number 1. Morrissey is a really good 2 and can handle the number 1 role with the right partner. Pionk will likely top out as a number 2 and severson is a 3 right now, (maybe a 2 on a better team). Hamilton is a no arise number 1 d, but he isn’t coming to Winnipeg. Pulock is a good number 2 and the jets might be able to nab him next year in UFA, but the isles aren’t moving him I agree.

Well, not a Isles fan, so I cannot speak on their behalf. But here is my belief...

Pelech and Pulock are not likely to move.
Dobson isn't going anywhere either.
Prospects Salo and Bolduc appear to be part of future.
Leddy and Hickey would be moved for nothing (but that was also true last year and they ended up having to sell Toews for a couple of picks).
Mayfield and Aho, they probably want to keep since they are on low salaries, but are movable.

Two ideas:
1. Get a third party to take some salary for a pick (maybe take Komarov), then throw Vesalainen, Appleton or any capable cheap winger at them for Mayfield and Wilde.
2. Instead of Komarov, get 3rd party to take Ladd (gonna have to pay them handsomely). Then offer Copp and Samberg or Stanley to Isles and ask for Pulock.
