It'd be pretty foolish of the Caps to trade Kuznetsov without a proven center coming back...not to mention the last time the Caps made a trade with the Rangers including NHL pieces was back in 2004 when the Caps traded Jagr to the Rangers for Anson Carter.

I understand people dont like the Kreider contract, but it would be a bigger issue to replace what Kreider brings with Kuznetsov. Rangers need the size and physicality. They need more, not less.

I think the last trade trade was Chris Brown for one of the Bourque brothers.

Looks like it was February 2018 when Hubert Labrie and John Albert were traded for Adam Chapie and Joe Whitney. A real blockbuster

Hopefully a blockbuster trade with Boston will rid the Rangers of Kreider. With Laff the Rangers now have no use for the cold/hot six million dollar power forward

He was what, 2nd in PP goals for the entire league? He's one of the best net front presence in the league, power forward with speed, he's the only think the Rangers have close to a big, physical forward.

You can't get rid of him unless they add more of what he brings. As in add, not replace. They need more of these things.
