That makes sense. Jets are a tough nut to crack. Not as good as they looked against the Oilers and not as bad as they looked against Montreal. Hard to figure out exactly where to tinker.

I can't say no to the deal with Pittsburgh, would be better if we also send defenseman the other way (Riikola or Ruhwedel).

if you want Jankowski you can have him for free, or just sign him as a FA as there is no way in hell anyone in PIT in their right mind is extending him a QO

they don't have to cap dump either.
Niku is a 750k league min contract that can easily be dumped into the AHL and cost nothing.
Beaulieu dumped into the AHL might leave you with what, 100 to 150k.
There is no need for any of that and if teams don't need a 4th liner you probably can't move Beaulieu. The penguins don't really need one.
