Seriously, why are you wasting assets trading for guys you can literally bury in the ahl at no cost.
Also the bottom 6 is significantly weaker both offensively and defensively

Way too much for rental Rielly. Honestly I wouldn't do Roy for Rielly straight-up. If LA really wants him, they can offer him a contract next summer in UFA.

I get that, but why should LA compensate Toronto for years that Rielly is not under contract? 1 year of Rielly is not worth two quality RHD and several draft picks.

Walker, a 2nd, and a conditional 3rd based on LA's playoff performance next season is the most I would offer for Rielly.

Would you Walker and Villardi for Rielly (he extendeds), Mietienen, 23 1st and 21nd?

Personally I think it’s a win win for both teams. LA get Mietienen who’s a top 100 prospect across NHL ranking boards, 23 1st which is a loaded class, 2nd rounder in class where nobody knows anything outside the top 15, and Rielly that paired with Roy can bring some dynamic puck movement along with Doughty. Also LA is extremely deep down the middle with Kopitar still there and Byfield, Turcotte, Kupari, Anderson-Dolan, Akil Thomas all in the system also will probably take one in the draft unless Clarke is there by some miracle.

Toronto gets Walker, who’s pretty much this years Weegar, and Villardi who will play centre as Chris Johnston allude to Toronto looking to move Tavares to the wing in the coming years like Stamkos did in Tampa.

If not lmk what you would add or change.

I don't think LA is looking to move out forwards for draft picks. LA is coming out of a rebuild, so if anything they're looking to trade draft picks for more immediate help. Vilardi is NHL ready, a 2023 1st round pick won't help the Kings for another 5+ years. I don't think LA will move Turcotte or Vilardi unless an NHL ready offensive upgrade is coming back.

Oooh ok. The reason I made this trade is that they get assets back for what they're giving up, but they'll have around 15 million to spend in free agency on forwards to support their rookies. The 3 yr rookie deals is extremely important as after that it becomes an issue with the cap. I chose Villardi as after this year he has 1 yr left before he asks for a raise. Knowing that he probably breaks out for 60 points.

Cal Pettersen is the real deal in net and will give em strong goaltending
