I'd rather keep Bjork and let Miller go in the expansion draft to Seattle.

We don't need out of the Weber and Byron contracts though. Our D would suck without Weber there on the 2 RD and Byron is a beast defensively while also being an effective PKer and is capable of putting up decent numbers offensively for a 3rd liner. Then you factor in Evans and Suzuki and a 1st and 2nd and this is a case where the sum of the parts is better than the whole. In other words Zuke + Evans + Weber + Byron + 1st + 2nd >>>> Eichel + Okoposo ( who is a true cap dump).

You stupid as hell if you say no to this as a habs fan lol, Eichel is a huge upgrade over Suzuki, Weber is slow and old, and his contract is brutal, Byron is a bottom 6 guy who is easily replaceable, evans can be replaced by poehling, and Olofsson doesn’t hurt the top 6. I get the love for Suzuki but gotta think logically not with the heart, Eichel is a talent that rarely hits the market

Just one question, IF this is such a great proposal, why did the Sabres miss the playoffs and the Habs are in the 3rd round?

In my opinion the Habs are in the 3rd round because of great team defense and goaltending and they play in the North division. But you never know when a team gets rolling, Habs '93 team prove of that.

The Habs are in the 3rd round cause they are able to elevate their game and play great team defense. The Sabres missed the playoffs cause no one on the team especially the top players are just in it for the money and don't care about anyone but themselves, Eichel especially! You can see it in the way they play the game, the goal celebrations for the Sabres are casual with not many players involved but when someone gets a big goal for the Habs EVERYONE is involved and it's a huge deal for them.

Habs being in the 3rd round vs Buffalo not has absolutely no relevance to the players. Shea Weber and Paul Byron would nearly be impossible to trade with their cap hits lol, no one wanted Byron for free this year. Suzuki is good yes but he is no Eichel, and evans is good but olofsson offers way more skill which we lack, don’t think like a fanboy lol
