I dont get the Malkin LTIR thing. He will be back at rhe start of the season. Then what?

They can’t keep him on LTIR until playoffs if he is healthy in November.

It’s very unlikely but given how Tampa used this to keep Kucherov on the sideline more teams will look at it as an option to manipulate the system unless the league cracks down

Yeah for sure but the Malkin situation isnt one of them. If he got hurt in Oct/Nov then sure but he just had surgery and will be healthy then
