If GMJR didn't run this team into the ground like he did (grossely overpaying for JJ, Zucker and Kapanen and getting a massively overpaid number 4-5 d-man in MM) you guys wouldn't have any issues.

No one would trade him straight up for Jake

Greenway still has room to grow if he plays with a legitimate playmaker like we have. Foligno will score plenty with Sid. Sid turned Rust into a big time player and I’ll say he’s also elevated Jake. Now Jake is a good player and I see him getting 65 points give or take in a full season on most teams but he’s only a ppg winger because he’s playing with one of the best players ever

and the penguins wouldn't trade jake for that crap of a return either straight up.

He can’t net 40 on basically any other team. We will have zero issues scoring without him. This team is loaded with goals. We were eliminated by a team than score 40 some less goals in the regular season

The whole internet is really tired of the "he can't do it without so and so" where you try to take away someone else accomplishments and hand them to someone else.
Guess what, there are a lot of guys who played with Crosby who couldn't net 40. And there are guys who move away from Crosby and still produce.

The kid doesn’t create his own shots. He’s a finisher. Nothing at all wrong with that but he is not in the elite tier of NHL wingers. In short, he’s replaceable
