I wish Alex Merulo and Andrew Barroway were two owners who actually gave a dame and gave Bill Armstrong the ability to actually be proactive and build a competitive team. None of this will happen and more than likely look to cut costs instead of adding salary

Smart getting Anderson to recruit Matthews. Love the contract buy low with high upside but I think Edmonton is gonna give him crazy money

Yeah when one accounts for era and team context Chychrun just recorded one of the most impressive goal scoring seasons by a D in league history

    On pace for 30 ✔

Not even due to crazy sh% either, he's just awesome

The Flyers also aren't giving away JVR, Patrick and a 2nd for a 4th liner.

    Yup

Unless it's literally straight up for Eichel I'm not joking in the slightest to put it in perspective would one rather have...

    Eichel 5 years @ 10M$

    or:

    Chychrun 4 years @ 4.6M$

Betting on stability from Coyotes ownership is akin to betting against Tom Brady or Lebron James.
Not a good bet. History is not on your side.

Lebron James? Doesn't he have a losing record in the finals? 4 wins and 6 losses. History would definitely be on your side if you bet against LBJ

If you pick one team against the field, you got paid multiples of your bet.

You could swap out JVR for Voracek, but no team is gonna let Philly off the hook when trying to move when one of those salaries you're gonna have to attach sweeteners. Patrick is gone already but AZ is the perfect landing spot for him, he can have ice time and be away from the pressure. Trade isn't about what Philly gets back its about opening up 7$M + in cap space and opening up two protection spots for expansion. That's all.

I know the narrative of Seattle taking TJ is nice, but Seattle isn't stupid, why would they do that given the other players available? Even the side deal you propose if I'm Seattle, Tampa's 1st (basically a 2nd since the team is still gonna be great) and bottom half prospects isn't enough to take TJ instead of one of the many better available players. Tampa deserves all the credit in the world for building a roster that presents this problem but I think it's silly to think they won't have to attach significant sweeteners for someone to take Johnson.

I’ll let Seattle take JVR without adding much at all.
